28–38 Days to Maturity
Height: 4 to 6 Inches
A mixture of primary colors that paints a wonderful palette in your garden. Colors include yellow, pink, red, and purple.
SOWING:
Sow seeds as soon as the ground can be worked in spring. Radishes thrive in loose, fertile soil. Plant seeds 1 inch apart and cover with 1/8 inch of fine soil. Replant weekly until the weather becomes warm and plant again in the cool of the fall.
THINNING:
Final spacing should be 3 inches apart to allow roots to mature. If you need to thin, be aware that the stem and first leaves may imitate the color of the root; purple roots may have brownish stems, yellow roots may have pale leaves. If you thin the "odd colors", you may only have red radishes to harvest.
GERMINATION:
10 to 20 days depending on soil and weather conditions.
REMARKS:
Radishes become "hotter" when grown in warm weather. Grow in cool seasons for mild roots. To keep roots from splitting, do not over-fertilize, and keep the soil evenly moist.
