Lovely purple-blue flowers unfurl like the fiddleheads of spring ferns and are famous for attracting many pollinators, especially bees of all kinds. Lacy foliage on sturdy stems; for sun or partial shade. Drought tolerant once established.

SOWING
Direct sow seed where it is to grow; does not transplant well. Plant seed ¼ inch deep after danger of all frost has passed.

THINNING
To 10–12 inches apart.

GERMINATION
In 4–7 days. Keep evenly moist until first true leaves appear.

REMARKS
Flowers are lightly fragrant and are edible. Plants will often self-seed one year to the next.
