Hardy Perennial – Height: 2–3 feet
Perennial herb famous because of the attraction cats have for the plant. The silver-green leaves and young shoots are also used as seasoning and a flavoring in tea. Attractive pale-pink or white flower spikes attract birds and bees.
SOWING:
Plant seed outdoors in a sunny or partial shade location. Seed should be sown ? inch deep and covered with fine soil, well pressed down.
THINNING:
Thin to 18 inches apart when plants are 2 inches tall.
GERMINATION:
Germinates in 14 to 18 days, depending on soil and weather conditions.
REMARKS:
Catnip will grow without special attention. It is only necessary to keep down weeds in order to have them succeed for several years in the same location.
