Matures in 75 Days
Known for its sweet tropical aroma and complex flavor. The pale green flesh is spicy-sweet when fully ripe. Vines have a semi-bush habit and produce 5–6 heavily netted melons, each weighing 2–3 pounds.
Sowing:
Sow seed directly in the garden in full sun after frost danger has passed and soil has warmed to 70°F.
Amend soil with compost or aged manure.
Plant seeds 3 inches apart, ½ inch deep, and water well.
Can also start seeds indoors and transplant.
Thinning:
Thin or transplant when plants are about 30 inches tall.
Keep well watered; use dark mulch to maintain moisture.
Melons are heavy feeders—top dress with compost or balanced fertilizer when first flowers appear.
Germination:
10–15 days depending on temperature and moisture.
Remarks:
Unlike many melons, Incredible should be harvested at the three-fourths ripe stage (when separating from vine).
They continue to ripen after harvest but do not increase in sugar content.
