Matures in 70 Days
A unique squash with a delicious, spaghetti-like interior. Harvest when ripe, boil whole for 30 minutes, cut in two, and scoop out the spaghetti.
SOWING:
Plant seed outdoors after all danger of frost is past or start indoors 4 to 6 weeks earlier. Make a group of 3–5 seeds placed in a ring about 2 inches across; cover with ½ inch of fine soil, well pressed down. Each ring of seeds is called a hill, and hills should be spaced 6 to 8 feet apart each way.
THINNING:
When plants are 2 to 3 inches tall, thin to leave the 3 or 4 strongest plants in each hill.
GERMINATION:
Germinates in 10 to 14 days depending on soil and temperature conditions.
REMARKS:
Allow the fruits to remain on the vine until fully matured. Protect the small plants from insects, water as needed, and keep vines picked clean.
