Matures in 65 Days
The most popular round-headed cabbage, this variety produces heads 6½ to 7 inches in diameter. The compact growth permits close planting, making them ideal for small gardens.
SOWING...
For early crops, plant seed indoors or in hotbeds 4 to 6 weeks before last frost. For late crops, plant directly outdoors in early spring to mid-summer. Plant in rows 4 inches apart, spacing seed 1 inch apart in row. Cover with 1/8 inch fine soil, well pressed down.
THINNING...
When plants are 3 to 5 inches tall, and danger of frost is past, transplant outdoors spacing plants 12 inches apart each way.
GERMINATION...
Germinates in 7 to 14 days depending on soil and weather conditions.
REMARKS...
Water regularly and fertilize every 3 to 4 weeks. Harvest when head is firm by cutting just under the head.
