Savoy Cabbage is of much finer quality than ordinary cabbage—sweeter with a more delicate flavor—and should have its place in every garden. Produces large round heads.

Sowing:

For early crop: start seed indoors 4–6 weeks before last frost.
For late crops: sow directly outdoors May through July.
Cover seed with 1/8" fine soil, well pressed down.
Keep soil moist until seeds start to grow.
Thinning:

When plants are 3–4 inches tall, thin or transplant 2 feet apart in rows 2½ feet apart.
Germination:

7–14 days depending on soil and weather conditions.
Remarks:

Water regularly and fertilize every 3–4 weeks.
Harvest when head is firm by cutting just under the head.
Contains Calcium, Iron, and Vitamins A, B, and C.
