Description:
This cultivar was developed at the University of CT in the 1950's. With its deep purple, sometimes molted leaves, it is grown as much for its decorative appeal as for its culinary value. Intense basil flavor. Excellent for making flavored vinegars, in salads, pesto, cooking, and as an edible garnish.
