Sweet Marjoram makes an attractive border or container plant. Leaves have a sweet and spicy smell and flavor. The leaves are used fresh or dried to flavor fish, stuffing, soup, salads, vegetables, etc.

SOWING:
Sow seeds in a sunny location after danger of frost is past. Prefers well-limed soil. Cover seed ? inch with fine soil or peat moss and keep moist. May be started early indoors.

THINNING:
Thin to 6 to 8 inches when plants are 2 inches high.

GERMINATION:
Germination is often slow, taking up to three weeks.

REMARKS:
Harvest leaves at any time. Cut frequently to prevent blossoming. Use fresh or dried leaves in soups or stuffing. Store dried herb in an airtight container.
