HISTORY
Each spray of tiny white blossoms forms a cloud, much like the breath of a babe on a chilly morning. The botanical name means “gypsum loving,” indicating the plant’s preference for sweet soil.

HABIT
Plants bear numerous sprays of tiny white blossoms that are almost devoid of foliage. Frequently used for cutting and combining in bouquets with other flowers. Height: 2 feet.

CULTURE
Easy-to-grow annual prefers full sun and well-limed soil. Sow seeds directly outdoors in early spring. Cover with 1/4 inch of fine soil—do not cover seeds too deeply. Thin to 12 inches apart. Plant every three weeks for continuous bloom throughout the summer. Germinates in 10 to 14 days.
