A fine loose-heading variety with very light green, frilled, crumpled leaves and a fringed edge. Forms a compact bunch of crisp, brittle leaves with excellent flavor in a short time.

Sowing:

Sow seed outdoors as early as the ground can be worked.
Plant in rows 15 inches apart, spacing seeds 1 inch apart.
Cover with ¼ inch of fine soil, well pressed down.
Keep soil moist until plants start to grow.
Thinning:

When plants are 3 to 4 inches tall, thin to 6 to 8 inches apart.
Germination:

Germinates in 7 to 10 days depending on soil and weather conditions.
Remarks:

As heads develop, cut every other one to allow others to grow.
For continuous supply, plant every few weeks throughout the season.
