Annual — Height: 8 to 10 feet
Stunning, deep purple-scarlet flowers 3 to 4 inches across showing a white-tinted throat. Flowers open in the early morning and fold in the afternoon. Plant seeds to grow on arbors or trellises or as a ground cover.
SOWING...
Plant seed outdoors in a sunny location after all danger of frost is past when soil has warmed to 60°F to 70°F, or start indoors at least four weeks earlier. Plant seeds 3 inches apart and cover with 1/4 inch of fine soil, well pressed down. Keep soil moist until seeds start growing.
THINNING...
When plants are 4 inches tall, thin to 6 inches apart.
GERMINATION...
Germinates in 8 to 10 days depending on weather conditions.
REMARKS...
Better results will be obtained if seed is nicked and soaked in lukewarm water overnight before planting. Morning Glories prefer average, moderate watering, no excessive fertilizing. Continuous blooms from mid-summer to early fall.
Note: Seeds are toxic if ingested.
