Harvest in 30 days for baby leaf or 80 days for mature heads
Description:
This gourmet blend was chosen as the 2016 All American Selection winner because it’s not only beautiful, but it’s an assortment of the best tasting varieties available! A mixture of leaf textures with colors ranging from red and bronze to dark and light green. A palette for your plate!
SOWING:
For baby greens, scatter seed thinly outside as soon as the soil can be worked in early spring, pressing the seed firmly into the soil.
For mature leafy heads, mix seed with dry sand or fine soil and sow in rows 12 inches apart, trying to space the seed 1 to 2 inches apart. Keep evenly moist until seedlings emerge.
THINNING:
No need to thin for baby greens, so cut and use when they are 6 to 8 inches tall.
For mature heads, thin to 10 inches apart. Eat your thinnings!
GERMINATION:
Germinates in 10 to 15 days, depending on soil temperature and moisture.
REMARKS:
A great choice for container planting; harvest from your patio right to your salad bowl. Sow every 2 weeks for a continuous harvest of baby greens.
