Radish Rudolph Organic
Raphanus sativus

Matures in 20 to 35 Days
Height: 2 to 6 inches

These cute, small radishes are a deep red color, crisp, sweet, and mild. They are packed with flavor, have a uniform shape, and can be grown all season long. Add them to your salads. Radish greens can also be eaten raw or sautéed in a pan with olive oil.

SOWING:
Plant seed outdoors as soon as the ground can be worked. Plant rows 12 inches apart, spacing seeds 1/2 inch apart in the row. Cover seed with 1/8 inch of fine soil, well pressed down. Keep moist until plants start to grow. Make successive plantings in early spring every few weeks for a steady supply.

THINNING:
When plants are 1 to 2 inches tall, thin or transplant, spacing plants 2 inches apart.

GERMINATION:
7 to 10 days depending on soil and weather conditions.

REMARKS:
Radishes may be planted in the same row as slow-growing vegetables such as carrots or lettuce. To grow the best radishes, the crop must grow quickly; therefore, the soil must be loose and enriched with fertilizer.
