Description:
A favorite for more than a century. Heavy producer of sweet, tender pods. Should be picked when quite young and almost flat.

SOWING:
Plant seed outdoors in March whenever weather allows.

Plant seed 1½ inches apart in rows 2½ feet apart.
Cover seed with ½ inch of soil, well pressed down.
THINNING:
When plants are 2 to 3 inches tall, thin to 3 inches apart.

GERMINATION:
10 to 14 days depending on soil and temperature conditions.

REMARKS:
This variety can be grown without support. Planting in double rows 6 inches apart will provide additional support where necessary. Make repeated plantings for continuous supply all season, as late as mid-summer.
